What is SIP Exactly???
Many people use wrong terminology of investment or always confuse about different terms of investment. Some people make fool to people those don't know exactly what is the meaning of SIP. In investment terminology SIP stands for "Systematic Investment Plan" means Invest in any plan systematically, the frequency of systematic investment can be monthly or quarterly or half yearly or yearly if you are investing for a long period of time. SIP is very effecting while investing in Market linked saving schemes like Mutual Funds and Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIP). Systematic investment in market linked plans help investor to average loss and gain more profit during up and downs of market. Many people think that SIP is only possible in Mutual funds but this is completely wrong. The Concept of SIP can be used to purchase GOLD, to accumulate money using concept of Bank 's Recurring deposit (RD) scheme.
If you want to invest in Share market and want to earn good returns then you have two options either you can invest in Mutual funds or you can go for ULIP plan. The option of SIP is also available in almost all ULIP plans. ULIP plans has good returns like mutual funds with extra benefit of Insurance to investor and also tax saving under 80C.
As a investor you must decide SIP amount, fixed amount you can invest, frequency of investment i.e. monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly, tax saving requirement, future goals and select proper instrument for investment and do SIP in that instrument.
